The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application procedure.
Applications are now open and will shut on fifteen December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to fulfill the subsequent requirements:
• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who originates from a home using a combined gross house earnings that does not exceed R350 000 for each annum.
• Individuals with disabilities qualify if their combined house money doesn't exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and want click here not submit any proof of earnings.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent residents from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for each annum.
Applicants are reminded to offer the right Identity Doc numbers, names, and surname, as reflected of their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds people who are studying or plan to study in a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who nsfas check wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply here timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
